ReplicatorG 0010 is on the intertubes
ReplicatorG 0010 is now available. It’s a fairly small update this time. The most useful feature introduced in this release is illustrated by the icon shown above: build to file! In earlier versions, if you needed to upload a large build to an SD card, it could take up to half an hour to move the data over the serial connection. Now, if you have an SD card adapter for your computer, you can put a build on an SD card in seconds. Just mount your SD card on your host computer, click the “build to file” button, and save the .s3g file in the top-level directory of your FAT-formatted SD card. Then just pop the card back into your makerbot and click the “build from SD card” button, and away you go!
Other changes in this version include:
- Better positioning reconciliation between ReplicatorG and the machine. You should be able to use the control panel after a build without having to worry about the cartesian bot going off in a random direction. (There may still be issues with aborted builds, though.)
- A shiny new connect button, to match the disconnect button that appeared in 0009. Disconnect-only functionality: not so useful, as it happens.
- Serial port autoscanning is now disabled by default for new users; it just ended up being too dangerous on too many platforms.
- If you’ve set your machine’s name, it will now be displayed in the status bar when you connect.
- You can now disable the simulator window in the ReplicatorG preferences.
- Removed the post-build machine resets.

Any details? Are you sure java is properly installed?
