Printed Parts Program Paused
Dec 3, 2009
We have been crowdsourcing printed pulleys for the last few batches and it’s been great. With batch 10 we’re switching up the design for the pulleys a bit and so we’re putting a stop request on pulleys. If you’ve been printing out pulleys, we’ll buy them or give you credit in the MakerBot store, but we need you to send them in right now so we can use them.
We love that we can pay people to use machines to make parts for other machines and we’ve got plans to reinstate this program with different parts. If you’ve got a machine that is waiting to be put to work, we recommend you start printing out Mendel parts.

In my experiance, most of that parts listed as “clamp” are small and a nice size the mendel. Also, you can build much bigger parts, all you have to do is make your raft stronger and oversize it a little.

I’ve enjoyed working on Team Pulley! Definitely let me know if there is anything I can print for you in the future. My husband has been working on Mendel parts for quite some time now! Thanks guys!

I have a new FDM Fortus that is being installed at work after Christmas we will be running test builds for a few days I think a 36 inch by 36 inch platform full of a new pulley design could be arranged as a test print. ABS,PC, Or ULTEM?
