Motherboard Firmware v2.2

From pathological to borderline acceptable in one firmware update

From pathological to borderline acceptable in one firmware update

In case ReplicatorG hasn’t already notified you, there’s a new update to the motherboard firmware.  The v2.2 release includes the extruder packet retry code suggested by Miguel Angel, revnar, and others.  As you can see, it’s drastically reduced packet drops from our in-house Pathological Extruder Board, so just imagine what it will do for yours!  If you’ve had extruder comms issues, install it and give it a while.

This is just an update to the motherboard firmware– you don’t have to update anything on your extruder controller.

Happy printing, and let me know how the update works for you!

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
This is the issue I have had.
Now show me where the source is so I can make it work with my messed up board.

    Awesome, Adam!

I still get an occasional stall where X/Y stops moving for 10 seconds or so but the extruder stays on. Then it wakes up and keeps going but I’m left with a big blob, which is rarely useful. Will this likely also help with that sort of problem?

After aborting a print, I still get a bit of what the left graph looks like.

Also, unrelated repg 0017 bug, if you open an STL file then open a GCODE file, only the Build To File button is enabled.

Had no problems installing Motherboard update, but system absolutely refuses to install extruder update. Tried everything, reset switch, cable to extruder, cable to motherboard, power to motherboard, no power to motherboard
rest before update, reset at different times before and after hitting update, etc, etc, etc. No combination has been left out. tried this like 20 times, and no luck.

    Bad Extruder board?

    Lost in Las Vegas…
